and shockingly it feels good to have him back. But this track is all about Miss Denters, the YouTube sensation who got herself signed to Timberlake's label. Which is why he's on this track. Gotta make dat money.
Still, cynicism about the business end of this pairing aside, Love Dealer is a great pop track. Timberlake brings his trademark sexy mutterings to the track while Denters gives a playful vocal. The whole track feels summery, flirtatious and fun.
In the video, you have the duo in the world's most unlikely recording studio - on the top of a high-rise building in the open air. Er...it does raise questions about Timberlake's abilities as a record producer if he's recording in the open air in the middle of a noisy city. Only joking, die-hard JT fans. Hold off on the death threats!
The flirtatiousness continues as Esmée and her gal pals take a walk through the city while Justin effortlessly watches her from 30 stories up without binoculars! Is there nothing this guy can't do?
If there's one complaint, it's that the video is very JT heavy. He's clearly a big selling point, but this early in Denters' career, we might want to get to know her a bit better. Nevertheless, I can't grumble much, because this is simply a light, feelgood pop song and who's going to complain about that?
