Ramadan Special - Kashmiri spiced potatoes

Ingredients

3-4 medium potatoes,
preferably a red variety, washed
1-2 tbsp butter salt and freshly ground black pepper
¼ tsp red chilli powder   


Instructions
  • Prick the potatoes several times with a fork.
  • Microwave on a high heat for approx 12-15 minutes, or until tender.
  • Cut the cooked potatoes in half.
  • Heat the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat until it is foaming.
  • Season the butter, to taste, with salt and black pepper, then add the red chilli powder and stir well.
  • Add the potato halves and turn to coat them all over in the spiced butter.
  • Fry for 2-3 minutes, then serve immediately with bacon on top.
