Amy Winehouse returns to the stage

She has been rarely seen on stage in recent years but Amy Winehouse took to the mic in South America last night to do what she does best. The 27-year-old singer was looking healthier than ever as she took to the stage for the performance in Brazil. Dressed in a pink and white gingham dress which a dipping neckline,
Amy wore her hair in a ponytail and not her trademark bee-hive, appearing fresh faced with her signature liquid eyeliner in place. The Back to Black singer belted out a number of tunes from her back collection and performed a number of covers at the Summer Soul Festival in Florianópolis.
As Amy blasted out one song she pulled up the skirt of her dress to reveal more of her thigh making for provocative viewing. But after a long break from performing the set did seem to take its toll on Amy, who had to take a moment to wipe the sweat from her nose, and interrupted a song to have a sip of water.
Despite the small hiccups Amy’s set was well- received and the singer smiled at the crowd’s reaction. Amy’s mood may have been lifted by the knowledge that the show, one of five scheduled for Brazil, has netted her £1million, meaning the short tour will rake in £5million overall, according to reports by The Sun.
Earlier in the day Amy had spent some time with former hell raiser Ronnie Wood, who spent the New Year in Uruguay's plush resort of Punta Del Este before crossing over the border to visit his famous friend in Brazil.
The Rolling Stones guitarist, 63, was spotted visiting Winehouse at the £700-per-night Santa Teresa Hotel in the hills overlooking Rio's Guanabara Bay. The two musicians were spotted deep in conversation as they enjoyed an afternoon stroll around the hotel's tropical garden. Although she welcomed 2011 in London, Winehouse, 27, has spent the past few days in Rio in preparation for the series of gigs in South America.
She is currently recording the long-awaited follow-up to her second album Back To Black. The as-yet-untitled album has yet to be given a release date.
