Christina Aguilera 'earns $1m for gig'

Christina Aguilera reportedly earned $1 million (£623,683) for a one-hour performance at a Halloween party this weekend. TMZ reports that the 'You Lost Me' singer was booked by investment guru Charles Brandes for the private set. The rumoured pay cheque, reportedly confirmed by insiders close to Aguilera,
equates to $16,666 (£10,390) per minute, in addition to payments for styling, travel and other related costs.

Sources connected to Brandes dispute the figure, however, and claim that the value investor only paid $500,000 (£311,716) for Aguilera to sing at the event at his San Diego estate.
